AirTanker have been contracted to deliver Voyager, a new strategic and tactical air transport and air-to-air refuelling capability to the RAF.  It’s not simply about procuring an effective and reliable aircraft but all aspects of an integrated support service including aircraft maintenance, crew training, relevant infrastructure, fleet management and ground services. 

 

In preparation for our future requirements, we would like to build a pool of candidates for positions in line maintenance and would welcome hearing from you. If shortlisted we will be looking to arrange initial interviews in December 2013 and January 2014. 

 

Primary Job Purpose

 

The performance of Aircraft Maintenance tasks, in accordance with company quality and regulatory airworthiness standards and working in conjunction with the Shift Manager to ensure that the operational service meets all of the customer’s contractual requirements.  The position may also require worldwide travel in support of the operation and AOG recovery of aircraft at deployed locations. The role also includes operating all Company provided MTGSE in support of operational requirements.  

 

About You

Essential:

  • Previous relevant experience on large commercial aircraft in a Line

  • Maintenance Environment

  • Experience in performing structural repairs/modifications.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Recognised Trade Training QualificationS

  • Must be capable of passing a CP2 Colour Vision Test

Desirable:

 

  • Previous experience working in a MOD environment.

  • Previous AOG recovery experience.

  • Experience on Airbus Aircraft

  • LGV Licence 

      

Due to the nature of the organisation, all employees of AirTanker Services are required to be security cleared to SC level. If successful in your application we would support you with the SC process. As a guideline only, you would normally need to have been a UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years. Further confirmation can be found on the Defence Vetting Agency (DVA) website.
