AirTanker have been contracted to operate three charters this week, operating repatriation flights from Goa, India to London Stansted. These flights are part of seven charters that the FCO have arranged from India this week, with additional flights operating from Delhi and Mumbai. There is also expected to be two charters from Nepal this week.

Last week, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office announced that they were working closely with the UK airline industry to secure scheduled service capacity and look to arrange charter flights to repatriate tens of thousands of British nationals who are stranded overseas.

Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab announced earlier this week that India is one of the top priorities for repatriation charters.

Director of Civil Business at AirTanker said: “As a British carrier, we are proud to be working with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to repatriate hundreds of UK Nationals who have been stranded in India”.

We have partnered with Titan Airways for this activity, and the flights from Goa will operate on one of AirTanker’s commercially registered A330-200 aircraft, operated by AirTanker pilots and cabin crew flying under a Titan Airways flight number.

Our first flight departed from Goa on the evening of 8 April, landing in Stansted early Thursday morning.  The subsequent flights are scheduled to depart Goa on 10 and 12 April.
