EADS is integrating into the A330 a set of Thales military systems. A mission systems operator system is installed for control of refuelling; military navigation and communication systems integrate with existing systems; and pilots’ displays can show tactical information and video feed of the receiver aircraft.
AirTanker has selected the Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine, the leading engine on the A330.
Cobham’s Flight Refuelling Limited will supply Fuselage Refuelling Units and Wing Pods based on the highly successful FRL900 series of refuelling systems already qualified on NATO and allied aircraft.
Airbus UK designs and produces the A330’s wing and fuel systems.
