AirTanker is committed to working in partnership with local and global communities, to provide support for education and training, local business and health and well-being, now and for the future.

Supporting the RAF

AirTanker is committed to making our local community a better place. This includes a programme in support of military personnel and for local families. We have a long term partnership in place with RAF Brize Norton to support welfare events on Station. This includes BrizeFest – an annual concert held each year at the station to raise money for military charities, plus support for dedicated social events.

We are also the lead sponsors of the RAF Brize Norton based Air Cadets, No. 2267 Squadron. This includes the donation of equipment through to sponsorship of individual events. Many of our own people also commit their time on a voluntary basis as cadet mentors, supporting simulator based aircraft training amongst other programmes.

A community partner

Our outreach programme extends into the community through a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with Carterton Community College and the five primary schools in Carterton: St. John’s; St. Joseph’s; Edith Moorehouse; Carterton and Gateway.

This programme offers children from years five through to year 12, and their teachers, the chance to experience the practical application of skills they develop in the classroom through STEM.

We also invest in community sport through the sponsorship of Carterton youth football and Cricket teams.
