The RAF’s next tanker transport is a derivative of the A330-200 commercial airliner. Features introduced for the FSTA are:-

• Refuelling pods are installed on existing strengthened wing stations
• Fuselage Refuelling Unit installed in bulk cargo compartment
• Mission System added for refuelling management and mission planning
• Air-to-air refuelling lighting, video monitoring, defensive aids, military communications and navigation systems installed
