AirTanker Ltd
AirTanker Ltd is the UK company set up to provide the Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA) programme through a 27-year Contract with the Ministry of Defence. The Company’s role is to ensure the timely delivery of the programme and hold overall responsibility for keeping the Banks, Shareholders and, most of all, the Customer, satisfied with both the aircraft and service delivery.
AirTanker has five shareholders – EADS, Thales, Babcock, Cobham and Rolls-Royce.
AirTanker Services Ltd
AirTanker Services Ltd is a UK company established in 2008 to deliver the FSTA service to the Royal Air Force at RAF Brize Norton.
AirTanker Services will deliver all the associated support services for the fleet of A330-200 aircraft, including the construction of a state-of-the-art two-bay hangar and support building, training, maintenance, flight operations, fleet management and ground services.
AirTanker Services currently employs approximately 50 people who come from a range of relevant backgrounds including former military personnel, defence industry specialists, airline pilots and engineers. When fully operational, the FSTA programme will employ over 500 personnel at RAF Brize Norton. Just over half will be seconded from the RAF while the remainder will be AirTanker employees including Sponsored Reservists.
AirTanker Services has five shareholders – EADS, Thales, Babcock, Cobham and Rolls-Royce – who are also sub-contractors for the programme.
